The first band was good, too.
There’s a first time for everything. Dan and I have a tradition of betting each other on the opening and closing songs of all bands we see live. For NFG, Dan claimed Head On Collision to open and All Downhill from Here to close. I went a different route, claiming Understatement for the opener and My Friends Over You for the close. And for the first time in history, my prediction was right on both counts. I’m still proud.
Bedlight for Blue Eyes opened the show on Friday night; I’ve never heard of them before, but they were actually a welcomed treat in the midst of so many horrific performances from bands opening for much more famous artists. The second band I completely ignored. I was too busy helping Dan and Kate track down some guy who apparently looked like John Locke from Lost. Please take a look at this picture and tell me how much this guy does NOT look like Locke:
And I’m busy now so…Senses Fail: awesome; NFG: more awesome. I have about the last 8 minutes or so of NFG’s set on video. It’s a huge file, but I’ll try to put it up sometime later today.
Next up: Third Eye Blind!
Why Dan and Kate have a picture together and Chrissy and I do not still makes no sense.
